Mike Bonanni is not only the owner of Double Down Motorsports, LLC., but also a very accomplished time attack driver! Bonanni has always been an adrenaline junkie. From a very young age, Bonanni was involved in extreme sports ranging from cross-country mountain bike racing to motocross and BMX bike racing. Through over a decade of involvement in extreme sports Bonanni has learned a lot about focus, drive, and determination. This has also helped Bonanni become a quick learner.

Mike started tracking auto racing in 2001 drag racing his '70 Chevelle. In 2004 after purchasing his 350Z he was quickly introduced to SCCA autocross competition and competed in his local region from 2004 to 2006. Also in 2004, Bonanni went to his first track racing school and never looked back. By late 2006 Bonanni had started to compete in Redline Time Attack competitions. In his rookie year in time attack, Bonanni placed on the podium in eight out of nine races entered, four of which were 1st place finishes.

In March of 2007 Bonanni also became a nationally certified high performance driving instructor for the Porsche Club of America and still offers driver coaching privately or through various track day organizations. In addition to teaching, Mike also still puts himself through schooling to help him stay on top of the game. The most recent driving school Mike has completed is the Driving Concepts Competition Licensing School in preparation for getting a N.A.S.A. Pro Racing, SCCA, and BMWCCA competition racing license.
